On February 2nd 2017, Quick Crepes bury will be celebrating La Chandeluer Day. Come along and celebrate with Crepes and Traditional Cider. Fortune Telling available!
The 2nd February is Pancake Day in France, and is called ‘la Chandeleur’. It marks the end of the Christmas period coming exactly 40 days after Christmas, and is also named as ‘Candlemas’.
Not only do the French eat a LOT of crepes on la Chandeleur, they also do a bit of fortune-telling while making them. It is traditional to hold a coin in your writing hand, a crepe pan in the other, and flip the crepe in the air. If you manage to catch the crepe in the pan, your family will be prosperous for the rest of the year!
Book your tables early for fortune telling, as places tend to go very quickly!!
